Greg, A very interesting night of flying. I left Auburn around 4:15 pm bound for Travers City, Rain and overcast, by the time I got 60 miles south of tvc I was in vfr conditions. Left for Grand Rapids and landed there with a 400ft ceiling and 3/4 mile vis. On to Cleavland, Thru rain all the way, Downtown airport was ifr with a 2mi vis and 300ft overcast. Then for home at 8:45, this is when it gets interesting climb to 6000ft and found I had a 20knt head wind, so I descended to 4000ft and surprise I now had 35knt on the tail, 55knt shift in 2000ft. Smooth ride in rain, then within 20 miles of Auburn ran into heavy rain and lightning, landed, and as I drove home the rain was turning into ice pellets. The more I fly the more I learn, but this night had a bit of everything. Keep up the good work, I enjoy and use your blog. Blue sky's Joe up in Auburn
