The main area of low pressure is continuing to move eastward. Its turn eastward will be a 200 mile difference from the last system we saw earlier this week with a similar northeast track.

Greg, I am a storm spotter certified from the NWS and Emergency Management of Jay County. All winter long the NWS has issued a Winter Storm Warning for us here and we have been lucky to receive an inch of snow from each of the earlier storms. Now, the NWS has issued a Blizzard Warning for Mercer County, OH? All honesty, I believe the Operator at the NWS is having their elementary kid call these storms. In my eyes and many people's eyes here in Jay County, we are seriously questioning the NWS due to there wrong predictions this winter. What will this summer be? Leave it to their kids and I bet it will be a snow advisory for a tornado warning. LOL.

Jason,
Many times the NWS has to issue a warning because an adjoining office has issued it and and the county in the warning area adjoins the county warned by the other office. It's all about coordination. It's a tough business and sometimes a very difficult forecast that may be 'on the edge' of a storm system like this one Indianapolis has really had a tough one this year by the way.
