A quiet afternoon for a change today. Highs will be in the lower 40s, but as you know things never stay static in the weather business.
Here a northern stream front moves closer to the area, but there is a very warm air mass out ahead of it. Temperatures will be in the 50s on Thursday.
By 7am Friday morning colder air moves in with 850 mb temperatures around -2C.
And don't forget that active southern stream. Will this move towards our area again?
Looks like the polar high will push this system across the east coast by Sunday morning,
Still looking at below normal temperatures through Monday morning.

Greg---this may be a silly question, but can storms "recycle" themselves around the globe? For example, could the massive storm we missed out on over the weekend hold together across the Atlantic, over Europe, and cross back over into North America, say, next week?
Thanks for the comment! Nope, storms do not recycle themselves as a general rule. The topography and frictional forces of our oceans and especially land masses cause storms to break apart.
