Well it's here. Temperatures will be at the coldest for our area anyway, but that's nothing compared to temperatures in the upper Midwest. Temperatures are well below zero.
You can see the core of the coldest air is across the Minnesota. Temperatures there may not get above zero this afternoon. We are only going to see a small and somewhat modified piece of this cold air around here. Highs will not get out of the teens today.
You can see that a cold air is being released across Wisconsin and northern Illinois this by tomorrow morning. That doesn't bode well for warming temperatures. Highs will stay in the teens tomorrow and be much colder around Iowa where temperatures there may not get above zero tomorrow afternoon.
