The winds are gusting. I have several weather station reports of winds over 40 mph. It looks like what we like to call a tight pressure gradient. It looks like this gradient will weaken this afternoon as the pressure rises. Right now the pressure is very low. The current barometric pressure is 29.50" That's considered very low pressure. We are seeing the upper air area of low pressure move through right now. So look for colder temperatures this afternoon.
On this map you can see how tightly these isobars are packed. This tells us that we have a tight pressure gradient across the area.
