Not a bad day...But you need a scorecard

As I mentioned in a previous post this is really a strong La Nina pattern and we have had our share of colder air. This weekend and next week is not going to disappoint you as temperatures will take another polar plundge next week. This is a very interesting set of circumstances setting up for Sunday and Monday. Take a look at Sunday at 12z (7am).
There are two strong jet streams with two very strong weather systems. The one we are worried about is to the south. Like last weeks scenario the northern stream and southern stream system could phase. That would spell some decent accumulation and some really cold air next week. Here's a look at Monday.
It does show some phasing as you only see on low to the north. The pattern is a little farther north then I like to see for heavy snowfall but this is still developing and the track can change by a couple hundred miles. So get ready for some snow and colder temperatures next week. Throw in some gusty winds for good measure and we've got another Winter blast!
