So What's Up with the DOPPLER!!!

So the world has been turned upside early this afternoon because everyone is worried about the Doppler. What's up with that pink color. Well, even though it is at the highest dbz it is not a severe thunderstorm with gusty winds. Nope, instead it represents some reflective sleet. This happens quite often when we are in between rain and snow and the doppler signal finds sleet. Sleet is highly refective so it shows up much better with the reflective data you see represented on the Doppler.

I've seen a lot of colors on the radar but never hot pink!
