I wish I could say today we are going to see quickly moderating temperatures. Unfortunately that's not the case. A northern stream system moving through today will keep us in the cold for at least the next 24 hours. Temperatures will slowly moderate tomorrow with highs in the 20's and finally back to our 30-year-average on Thursday and Friday which is the middle 30s. The weekend will be a different story, there are several waves of low pressure to our north. Yesterday we were also looking at an area of low pressure to our south which could turn into a major snow maker for the weekend. This latest model run has this system too far north and still setting up for a big storm for the northeast. Actually, if you look at it on Sunday and Monday it looks very similar to the scenario we are experiencing today. A strong southern stream system and a northern stream system to our north. These two systems will phase across the east and it may be a snowy start of the week for them next week.
