Interesting Weekend and Beyond

I've already shown you the dreaded 'polar vortex' which will be moving in this weekend. Temperatures will drop from -6C to -26C this weekend at 850 mb which is just above the surface. It looks like we will see bitter cold air by Sunday morning with lows falling into the single digits. This air mass will slowly moderate by next week.
Next week is kind of interesting the GFS brings in a scenario of heavy snow next week. There is still a bit of a disagreement between models for next week but it is something I'll be watching.
This is the European, you can see it bringing a low up from the south.
This is the GFS with it showing the progression the low a little better with it moving across the southern part of the state first then moving east toward Toledo. With this track we would see heavy snow in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.

The way this weather is giving us the old "one-two" punch week after week, I'd swear we're in some land-locked "Bermuda triangle" of global ley lines, or something.

Is this cyclical or just an anomaly this year?
And by "heavy" snow, is that accumulation or moisture content?
(hopefully not both)

Bobby,
As it looks right now the storm is being pushed into late Wednesday and Thursday. This is a southern system so it does have quite a bit of moisture. I guess the biggest question will be, will it be cold enough for snow. Things warm up quite a bit by Thursday.
