Now that this pattern is getting a little closer it we begin to get more than one look at it. In fact, the 168 hour European weighs in with a strong and well placed low pressure system which is within a couple hundred miles of yesterdays Global Forecasting Model.
This is a little farther north then I would like to see it for heavy snowfall, but it is also 7 days out. Temperatures are going to be a factor as well. Highs will be in the 30s so we could also see sleet and rain knock down heavy snowfall.

The new GFS comes in a little farther south. This track would not put us into the heavy snow. So it's still a little early but certainly something to watch.
