Interesting Clouds

Kevin Whatley from A beautiful city sends some great cloud pictures. He asked if I would explian what I thought about these cloud formations here's what I wrote on his website: It looks to me like there are a couple of different level clouds in your picture. The higher clouds are cirrus clouds which have very little moisture because they are near the top of our atmosphere. These clouds indicate some pretty gusty winds in the upper atmosphere and also a fast moving jet stream which resides in this portion of the atmosphere.
