An interesting scenario over the next 36 hours as a southern system will just knick us from the southwest. Let's look at the models. Here is 1pm today. Two lows are south of us. It looks like the low moving toward Virginia will be the stronger of the two and will rob most of the energy.
By 7pm tonight the low is still to the south although we could see some moisture ahead of it across central and northern Indiana.
By 7am Friday there is a real split with the stronger low moving along the east coast. While the secondary low is moving across southern Illinois.
By 7pm Friday the low moves east of Cincinnati. Because this low does not move farther north we are really out of any heavy snowfall.
I will tell you that the latest QPF does bring about 3 to 5 inches across the area. But as usual this may be overdone. Right now it looks like the track and the lack of true mositure will work to keep heavier snowfall amounts in the southern and central part of Indiana and Ohio.
